The extension operates entirely locally on your device by:

• Hiding elements like feeds, comments, shorts, and recommendations based on your preferences

All processing happens on your device. Nothing leaves your computer.

The extension stores your settings and preferences using your browser's sync storage. This means:

• Your preferences are stored in your browser's sync storage
• If you have browser sync enabled (e.g., Chrome Sync, Firefox Sync), your settings will sync across your devices
• This syncing happens through your browser's own infrastructure (Google, Mozilla, etc.)
• We never have access to this data - it's handled entirely by your browser
• You can disable sync in your browser settings if you prefer to keep settings local to one device

All data remains within your browser's ecosystem. ByteBout does not operate any servers or receive any of this information.
